Guide to Teaching Climate Change at KS2 in Somerset

As part of the Rising to the Challenge campaign, a climate change teacher's guide has been specially written for Somerset schools.

The guide is designed to encourage positive thinking about climate change. It links to the National Curriculum in most subjects at KS2 and includes web-based interactive resources suitable for IWB use.

There are two CD’s – one contains the guide plus the accompanying resource bank and the other contains a number of short films showing how local people, wildlife and our archaeological sites will be affected by climate change, and what local people are doing to make a difference.

Every primary, first and middle school was sent a copy in September, but if you haven’t seen your schools copy, please get in touch and we can send you another one: risingtothechallenge@somerset.gov.uk
