| Climate Café tours Somerset - Full Story |

The Climate Café has now visited 16 town centres, festivals and fayres across Somerset, raising awareness of climate change and what it means for us. |

We have visited some beautiful locations, including Porlock recreation ground, Burnham-On-Sea esplanade, Vivary Park in Taunton and Carymoor Environmental Centre.
At the café, residents have been sampling local strawberries and cream, finding out more about climate change through the tabletop quiz and entering our fantastic free prize draw.
Visitors to the café in Bridgwater recently were the first to calculate their carbon footprints using laptops powered by our new solar panels. Each person who had a go at the carbon calculators also got a funky cloth bag to take away.
As this picture shows, the café also encourages children to take part – the recent breezy weather has made windmill making a popular activity!
At town centre events the roadshow has been supported by a number of other organisations. In Taunton and Bridgwater, BBC Somerset’s bus was present to encourage people to sign up the “The Challenge” and to show how a live broadcast works. At other events, information and advice has been provided by Somerset Waste Action Programme, the Bristol and Somerset Energy Efficiency advice Centre, Moving Forward, Somerset Food Links and the Environment Agency.
