CALLING ALL CLIMATE FRIENDS - Full Story

Somerset Wildlife Trust is looking for people and communities to take part in Climate Friendly Fortnight...
As part of a South West wide Climate Friends campaign, Somerset Wildlife Trust aims to work with as many people as possible to raise awareness of climate change and accelerate the switch to climate friendly living.

The focal point of the campaign will be Climate Friendly Fortnight, 15th – 30th September, a festival of hundreds of climate awareness events and practical action across the South West, and being supported by Rising to the Challenge.

The Trust are now looking for local people to organise events in their communities – whether it’s a talk in the village hall for the whole town, a local food picnic for family and friends, to a tour of your solar panels – the event can be as big or as small as you like.

You don’t have to be a climate expert – your enthusiasm is all that is required.

To register your interest or talk through your ideas please contact James Nightingale, james.nightingale@somersetwildlife.org or David Westbrook, david.westbrook@somersetwildlife.org You can email or give them a call on 01823 652400
